Jed Wallace has stated that he is excited to learn new things ahead of the future appointment of a new Millwall manager.

Millwall's former boss, Neil Harris, walked away from the club last week, and despite the upheaval that it would have brought, the Lions went onto beat Leeds United on Saturday.

Whoever the new manager will be, he'll know he has a team capable of competing at Championship level and can try to push this squad up the table.

Wallace is looking forward to what will be a new era and is excited to try something different under a new boss.

Speaking to News at Den, Wallace said: “I’ve been here four years now and it’s such a settled club, we’ve had so much success in that time.

“It’s a new experience for me, and also I’m looking forward to learning new things, different styles of play, different ways.

“I think the manager has felt like he had done such a good job and we’d gone as far as we could, maybe he felt like it was time for the club to have a new challenge.

“The chairman had a good chat with us and said the manager has left an unbelievable group of players, which he has. He’s left it in a great spot so hopefully someone will come in and look at the squad we’ve got and push us on.”

The Verdict

It's good to see that Wallace can respect Harris' time at the club, whilst still looking forward to playing under a new manager in the future.

They are a due a change in their style, as the club is now settled and has a big opportunity to push on in the near future.

Wallace is a good professional and he's shown that in the way he has spoken since Harris departed and ahead of the new manager's arrival.
