Millwall's Tom Bradshaw will not face a ban or a fine for deceiving a match official in the Lions' 2-1 victory over Leeds on Saturday.

The striker went over in the box following a challenge from Whites defender Gaetano Berardi, and the ref deemed it a penalty and a red card.

Berardi's red card has been overturned, but Bradshaw will not face any punishment as the FA's footage shows slight contact from the centre-back.

The news comes from Athletic journalist, Phil Hay, who tweeted this:

Hay said that the footage was not referred to a three-man panel of ex match officials, meaning that Bradshaw will be available for the Lions' next fixture against Brentford after the international break.

It was a controversial match last Saturday, and it led to a lot of talking points off the field, with this penalty being a decisive moment in the game as the Lions won without Neil Harris, after he resigned last week.

The Verdict

It was quite the incident and it caused a lot of controversy as well as supporters being right up for the occasion.

The match itself was hard-fought and Millwall came with a game plan and perfected it brilliantly. They'll be happy to have Bradshaw available for the next fixtures, especially if a new manager comes in and wants to analyse how every player contributes to the squad.

Leeds will feel like there has been some slight justice, purely down to the fact that Berardi's card has been overturned. Overall, they probably would have liked to see a punishment to Bradshaw, especially after what happened with Patrick Bamford last season.
