Frank Fielding has stated via Love Sport Radio that Neil Harris was a top bloke and that he couldn't believe that he resigned from Millwall last week.

The Lions have had a rather interesting week with Harris having left the club after a tough start to the season.

Although, having left, Millwall then went out and performed superbly on Saturday as they beat Leeds United 2-1 at The Den.

Fielding stated that Harris was very much liked around the place, and that many of the players in the squad were taken by surprise after they found out about the news.

Speaking to Love Sport Radio, Fielding said: "I was sat on the settee and one of the boys put it in the group and I couldn’t believe it to be honest.

"It’s come as a surprise and I wish him the best. He’s a proper bloke, top bloke, family man.

"He was pivotal to me coming to Millwall in the summer, he really wanted me.

"He spent time with me on the phone and told me what he expected of me and what he wanted of me and I’m absolutely gutted, obviously.

"The decision came at his reckoning and we have to move on."

The Verdict

It was quite an interesting decision and I was very surprised to see Harris leave the club after all that time.

He was excellent during his time at the club, and Millwall fans will forever have the boss inside their hearts and I'm sure the players will be very excited for another step in their careers with a new manager and a new style.

Fielding was quite interesting in his quotes, and when he said that he was a big part of his move to Millwall that may affect how he now feels about his future at the club.
