Millwall are edging closer to the signing of Barnsley's Tom Bradshaw, according to HITC Sport.

A deal is close to being struck as Millwall look set to beat a number of Championship rivals to the signing of Bradshaw.

The Wales international scored 12 goals in all competitions for Barnsley last season - making him their top marksman - but failed to keep his side up.

With the Tykes heading for League One, Bradshaw is expected to move back to the Championship with many sides interested.

The former Walsall striker joined Barnsley two years ago and has scored 20 goals in his two seasons at Oakwell.

Prior to that, he hit 40 in two seasons for the Saddlers following his switch from Shrewsbury Town.

The 25-year-old is a wanted man this summer, alongside fellow Barnsley striker Kieffer Moore, and is expected to move to Millwall as they edge closer to this deal.

The Lions narrowly missed out on a play-off spot last season and are eyeing more firepower up top to enhance their promotion credentials for next year.

The Verdict

Bradshaw is showing signs that he is getting better with each season he plays.

After hitting back-to-back tallies of 20 goals for Walsall, he has now struck eight and 12 goals for the Tykes, showing that he is improving each year.

A move to Millwall would see him competing with Lee Gregory and Steve Morison and he offers something different to those two.
