The Bantams have already rejected an initial bid from the Lions, with Phil Parkinson stressing the striker is not for sale.
Hanson has two years left on his contract, and the Bradford boss has issued a ‘hands-off’ warning to the relegated Championship side.
He told the Telegraph and Argus: “We are looking to build a squad and improve, not weaken it.
“We’ve no need financially to sell anybody and none of our players will be leaving unless it’s for the benefit of the squad going forward.”
Bradford’s exploits in the FA Cup this season, and all the television money they picked up on the way to the quarter finals of the competition, means it is that little bit easier to keep hold of their talisman.
But Millwall remain hot on the heels of the 27 year old, who has scored 62 goals in 225 appearances for Bradford since his arrival back in 2009.
