Millwall will need to strengthen their squad regardless of which division they will find themselves in next season.

Lions fans are currently dreaming of potential consecutive promotions with the Premier League on the horizon.

Their draw against Sheffield United moved them up into sixth place ahead of Derby County.

Based on the squads of the other teams in the play-offs, it seems unlikely that Millwall will get promoted, but people and teams have constantly underestimated them this season at their peril.

Their squad is built on solid foundations with only 40 goals conceded which only Wolves and Cardiff can beat.

However, they have only scored 55, which is the 11th best in the league; this is something that Harris will probably want to try and rectify by next season in order to carry on the impressive progression of this side.

Here are four players they should take a look at...

Mancienne has lost the confidence of Aitor Karanka with Tobias Figueiredo and Danny Fox preferred in recent months after the 30-year-old started initially when he first became manager.

His move down the pecking order as well as the uncertainty whether Karanka could bring in more players in the summer might influence him to move on and Millwall could benefit.

He is more than capable of doing the basics right defensively which is the majority of what Millwall defenders are tasked with because they don't play an expansive style which asks a lot from the defence in an attacking sense. Mancienne has experience in the Premier League and the Bundesliga, so he could strengthen the Lions in a key area for next season.

Honeyman has been one of the star performers in a hugely disappointing season for the Black Cats. The likelihood of relegation to League 1 is increasing each game, and they could sell some of their best players if that happens.

The need for money means that Millwall could potentially bring in him in for a bargain price because the Black Cats don't have a lot of leverage currently and need to properly prepare for League 1 in order to stabilise.

He would be ideal for Millwall's midfield because of his drive, energy and defensive contributions. His all-round skillset enables him to dominate centrally and he is dangerous in the final third with six goals league goals.

Nuhiu's contract with Sheffield Wednesday runs out at the end of the season and he is yet to be offered a new one.

There is a chance that he could be offered one because he has played well in recent months with six of his eight league goals coming in the last month.

He is a big physical presence which makes him a nightmare for the opposition to deal with, but he is also capable of being intricate in the box which has helped him get four assists in the season. In total, he has eight goals and four assists in 1250 league minutes, so he is averaging a major contribution every 104 minutes.

His aerial ability and skill as a target man means that he would be ideal for Millwall's style while also possessing the clinical nature to be a significant goalscoring threat.

Bradshaw is another striker they could bring in to increase the amount of options available to Harris.

He isn't as prolific as Nuhiu, but could definitely fill a similar role for the team. His nine goals have come in 2312 minutes, and he is yet to provide an assist.

Barnsley are seriously threatened by relegation and Barnsley could be forced to sell him if the right bid comes in similar to Sunderland with Honeyman. He is used to being part of a defensive unit with few chances in front of goal, so he could fit Millwall well with his physical profile.
