Millwall expected to sign AFC Wimbledon’s 13-goal striker

According to the Mirror’s live blog (29/5, 17:34), AFC Wimbledon’s Tom Elliott is set to move to Millwall in the coming weeks, when his contract with the Dons expires.

Elliott was in impressive form for Wimbledon last season, scoring 13 goals from 46 appearances across all competitions, as Neal Ardley’s side finished 15th on their return to the third-tier of English football.

The striker came through Leeds United’s famed academy, but made just four senior appearances for the Whites, before spending time with Hamilton, Stockport County and Cambridge United, prior to his move to Wimbledon.

The 26-year old is set to become Millwall’s second signing of the summer, following Bradford City’s James Meredith to the Den, ahead of the Lions’ return to the Sky Bet Championship.

Neil Harris’ side beat Bradford 1-0 at Wembley last weekend in the League One play-off final, securing a return to the Championship after two-years in the third-tier.

Millwall fans… Are you pleased to hear Elliott could be on his way to your club? Let us know your thoughts!
