Millwall duo Fred Onyedinma and Tom Elliott are set to leave the club in the summer, according to reports from London News Online.

The Lions have already made some significant changes to their personnel since the end of the 2018/19 campaign, with top scorer Lee Gregory also set to leave the Den to join Stoke City.

Conor McLaughlin and Tom King are also set to leave in the summer, as Neil Harris prepares to rebuild his squad to allay any fears of a relegation battle next term.

And now, reports have emerged claiming that Fred Onyedinma is set to depart the London club in the summer, with striker Tom Elliott also looking likely to leave the Den.

Despite being a regular for the Lions last season, Onyedinma has found first-team appearances hard to come by this time around, and spent the first-half of the 2018/19 campaign on loan with League One side Wycombe Wanderers.

The attacker, who was then recalled in January, made just one appearance for Harris' men in the second-half of the season, and could be now set to leave in the summer with only a year left on his current deal.

Elliott signed for Millwall from AFC Wimbledon in 2017, but nine goals in 66 games later, he now looks set to leave the club despite previously activating a year extension on his current deal.

Millwall ended the 2018/19 campaign sitting 21st in the Sky Bet Championship table.

The Verdict

To me, this sounds like the right call.

You have got to feel a little sorry for Onyedinma, who was never given a chance despite being recalled in January.

If Lee Gregory is set to leave, then Harris clearly wants to revamp his front-line, so it would be best for Elliott to leave in the summer too.
