Millwall have completed the signing of Ben Marshall from high-flying Norwich City, with the winger joining on loan for the remainder of the season.

The former Wolves man joined the Lions this time last year and was a huge hit.

His performances down the flank were a significant reason as to why Neil Harris' side had a fantastic end to the campaign and almost made the play-offs.

During that spell he weighed in with five assists and three goals from 16 games.

Despite that, he decided to join the Canaries in the summer but a combination of injuries and the form of others has meant he has barely featured under Daniel Farke.

And, the Londoners confirmed on their website today that the 27-year-old has returned and he will be hoping to make a similar impact.

Marshall will be joining a side in trouble though, with Millwall in 20th position and only five points above the relegation zone.

He is sure to be in the squad as they make the long trip up north to take on promotion-chasing Middlesbrough this weekend.

The Verdict

This is great news for Millwall as Marshall knows the club and will be ready to make an instant impact to a side that are struggling.

He was superb last time and that should give him confidence that he can settle in quickly, whilst he knows most of the players too.

Harris is sure to be delighted by this and it's now about getting him out on the pitch.
