Quoted by Millwall blog News at Den, Lions winger Jed Wallace has praised Gary Rowett for his tactical flexibility that he has displayed since joining the club as manager earlier this season.

The men from The Den started the season fairly poorly under former boss Neil Harris and it seemed as though a change was needed at the club.

Indeed, that is what happened and it seems to have benefited the Lions nicely with them now just a couple of points outside of the top six in the Sky Bet Championship.

Rowett has proven a hit at the club so far, then, and Wallace has been full of praise for the main man in the dugout.

He said:

"To be honest, the gaffer's been unbelievable since he's come in.

"What I've enjoyed the most is that tactically we have a different game plan playing against every single team. We change formation, we change tactics, we change the way we're going to press them from the opposition's goal-kick. We change how we take corners depending on the opposition."

The Verdict

Millwall have come along nicely under Rowett and the fresh ideas and impetus that he has brought to the club has clearly gone down a treat in Bermondsey.

Obviously, there were always going to be reservations with a legend like Neil Harris leaving but sometimes these things are for the best and if the Lions can earn a top six place few will say it was the wrong decision to shake things up.

The players are evidently enjoying working under the former Stoke boss and Lions fans will hope that that can continue for some time to come.
