Leeds United fans received some brilliant news on Monday evening when it was announced that star midfielder Kalvin Phillips had signed a new contract at Elland Road.

He penned a five-year deal at Elland Road, putting an end to speculation of him departing before the end of the season, allowing everyone at the club to start looking forward again.

However, his name became a hot-topic amongst Whites' fans once again on Tuesday night after England beat Kosovo 5-3 in a thrilling game at St. Mary's.

The Three Lions' attack was brutal, with Sterling, Kane and Sancho proving a menace. But at the back and in midfield, Southgate's side looked toothless.

Declan Rice was chosen to play in the holding role but, after an underwhelming display, it led many Leeds fans to start pondering why Phillips was not getting a look in ahead of the West Ham man.
