Mike Phelan linked with manager’s post at Bolton Wanderers

Former Manchester United assistant, Mike Phelan is a candidate for the vacant manager’s position at Bolton Wanderers, according to the Daily Star Sunday.
Dougie Freedman left Bolton last week after only winning one game in the first 11 games and lie bottom of the league.
Caretaker manager Jimmy Phillips is favourite to succeed Freedman but Mike Phelan has applied for the job as he keen to get back into management after losing his job at Manchester United when David Moyes took over last summer.
Freedman was the sixth manager to depart from their clubs already this season in the Championship.
