Sheffield Wednesday head into the weekend trip to struggling Huddersfield Town with new manager Garry Monk at the helm, looking to get off to a winning start and improve on the Owls' current position of 11th in the Championship.

Monk has taken over a side who have picked up three wins and suffered three defeats in the league and are into the third round of the Carabao Cup, where they will host Everton at Hillsborough.

So should Monk make many changes to the Sheffield Wednesday starting XI for the Huddersfield clash?

We discuss........

Alfie Burns

“He’s going to have to make one given Fernando Forestieri’s suspension, which I imagine might lead to a slight reshuffle.

“Although I think 4-4-2 will be the manager’s system moving forwards, he’ll go 4-5-1 at Huddersfield this weekend, with Adam Reach coming centrally and a more natural right-winger coming in.

“Depending on who he’s got available, there might also be a defensive reshuffle. The outfit that featured in Bullen’s last game didn’t convince me. You can pick holes in Morgan Fox and Dominic Iorfa.

“But, that depends on who is available.”

Dean Cooke

"No, I wouldn't say many. He can make some and work with his instincts after the first week, but too many could really disrupt team morale going into the future.

"Monk will have his ideas and probably know the starting XI he'll play on Friday, it'll be interesting to see whether he opens the door to some of the squad who haven't appeared much this season.

"Players like Fernando Forestieri will want a lot more game time, and whether he can get that or deserves too will be speculated by many Wednesday supporters."

Ned Holmes

“I think there are a few he could make to sure things up.

“Lee Bullen has shown over the start of the campaign that there are some really talented players in this side but

“Massimo Luongo has looked excellent in the few opportunities that he has been given, I would like to see him give a chance in the starting line up.

“Moses Odubajo has been unconvincing so far and I think Monk may be tempted to make a change there.

“Huddersfield look a different beast now the Cowleys are in charge and Wednesday could be playing them right at the start of a positive upturn in form.
