Fulham could be set to be handed a boost in January, with Jean Michael Seri ready to return to London.

This comes about after the midfielder has failed to stake a claim for a spot in the Galatasaray first-team and has found himself on the periphery of things in the first few months of the new campaign.

Seri was signed by Fulham last season, but after a really poor season for the Whites in the Premier League, he was sent out on loan to the Turkish giants after the Cottagers had been relegated.

Now, with a foreign player quota rule in the Turkish top league, Seri could be set to return to the London club as Galatasaray have expressed an interest in another foreign player, Henry Onyekuru.

If he was to return it would be interesting to see whether Fulham looked to loan him out again or even try to sell him. In fact, he could be a welcome boost to a side that has been struggling for consistency in the Championship so far.

The Verdict

This is a very interesting one, and it would be really intriguing to see whether Fulham would keep him around the place and potentially integrate him back into the first-team squad.

He had a really poor season last campaign, but is still highly-rated across Europe but has to start showing it in matches.

If you look at other clubs in the Championship they have had similar situations. Borja Baston and Andre Ayew were both out in the cold at Swansea, but since have come in and are now key players for the Welsh side who are battling near the top of the division.

If they can get him to put his head down and focus on football, then they could have a very good player on their hands for the Championship.
