Midfield flop? Inconsistent winger? Which of these Leeds United players does Heckingbottom need to axe?

It has been a difficult start to 2018 for Leeds United, who have seen their hopes of achieving a play-off finish in the Sky Bet Championship dashed by a winless start to the calendar year.

That tricky start has led to Thomas Christiansen’s departure, with Paul Heckingbottom the man Leeds have put faith in to replace the Dane in the Elland Road dugout.

Leeds currently sit 11th in the Championship table, eight points adrift of the top-six heading into this weekend’s must-win clash with Bristol City at Elland Road.

Christiansen used a select group of players during his time at Elland Road, with a number of fringe players unable to challenge for a regular first-team chance.

Judging by Heckingbottom’s first game at the helm, similar players look set to be used, with a number of the usual suspects left out at Bramall Lane on Saturday lunchtime.

Here at FLW, we take a look at some of those fringe players – highlighting seven that could be axed during the summer transfer window and asking you to vote on whether they should be axed at the end of the season.
