Speaking to Everton’s official website, on-loan Kieran Dowell has admitted that things are starting to click for Nottingham Forest in the Sky Bet Championship, with Mark Warburton’s side finding some form heading into November.

Dowell is on-loan at the City Ground from Premier League club, Everton, and was conducting an interview with his parent-club, reflecting on his time so far this season with Forest.

The midfielder has played a major role for Warburton’s side so far this season, and heading into the international break Forest’s results had began to pick-up, with the Reds winning three of their last four fixtures.

That run of results has helped to lift Forest to ninth in the Championship table heading into this week’s international break, with Dowell admitting that things were finally starting to click for Forest, he said: “I think for the past month or so, we have started to click and might not have got the results at one point and then all of a sudden, we have been getting the goals, the ball has been dropping for us in the box.”

The 20-year-old has six goals to his name this season, and has been key in Forest’s recent run of results, scoring four goals in his last three appearances, including a sensational hat-trick in the 3-2 victory over Hull City last month.

Following this week’s international break, Forest return to Championship action with a trip to St Andrew’s to face a struggling Birmingham City.

The Verdict

Forest’s results have significantly improved in recent weeks, and Dowell is right, things are starting to drop for the Reds and they seem to be clicking as a unit.

Individually, Dowell has been superb and probably the shining light in Forest’s recent run of form.

His performance against Hull recently was the standout display of the season so far, and any hopes of a play-off push seem to rest on the youngster's shoulders.
