Young Liverpool winger Ryan Kent has enjoyed a fantastic preseason with his boyhood club, and is beginning to develop an excellent reputation for himself at the Anfield outfit.

Kent’s performances are drawing praise from around the club, and those behind the scenes are beginning to grow excited about exactly how good this young prospect is becoming.

The speedy winger is unlikely to break into Liverpool’s first team next year due to the array of wonderful attacking talents manager Jurgen Klopp has at his disposal, and the consensus seems to be that the player needs to experience a loan move this season to continue his development.

Kent has already enjoyed spells with Coventry and Barnsley, but could now find himself battling for a title, with Middlesbrough reportedly very keen to add the youngster to Garry Monk's revolution.

The Teessiders have spent millions this summer improving their squad ahead of their return to the Championship, and Monk may now turn to Kent as he looks to reign in his spending.

Kent would be an excellent addition to the Boro squad, and certainly has the potential to establish himself as a first team regular over the course of the coming campaign.

Taking the player on loan would be extremely economical, and Monk would be acquiring a player of immense talent and potential for the next nine months.

Kent has a bright future in the game, and a successful spell at the top of the Championship could be enough to fire the Oldham born man into Klopp’s first team plans in the coming seasons.

Boro need further quality to ensure they return to the top flight at the first time of asking, and Kent needs solid first team exposure, so a move would be excellent for all involved.
