Middlesbrough have had an indifferent 21st century, where they have had elongated stints in both the Premier League and the Championship.

Boro spent the majority of the first decade of the century in the top flight, and won plaudits for their team that also got into the UEFA Cup.

The team included players such as Juninho, who is widely regarded as one of the best players in the club's history.

Most recently, Middlesbrough were relegated from the Premier League in 2016/17, where Aitor Karanka’s side had a defensively solid side that couldn’t score many goals.

Overall, it has been a pleasing period for the club who historically are not a top-flight side.

Despite this, there have been some forgetful moments that have probably been embarrassing for Boro fans.
