Amid speculation of a move away from the Riverside Stadium, HITC have reported that Albert Adomah is staying with Middlesbrough until at least January.
The Championship promotion contenders have decided that they do not want to pacey winger to leave the club despite significant interest from other clubs for his services.
There has been a great deal of speculation over the last few weeks as the ‘Adomah saga’ rumbles on, however, the issue is still unresolved.
No formal transfer offers were made for the Ghanaian international despite the fact that he submitted a transfer request that shocked fans at the Riverside.
After a disagreement with boss Aitor Karanka, the winger has gone from a first-team regular to a player shunned from first-team training.
Gazette Live have reported that Adomah reported for training but was not involved in any first team preparations for Middlesbrough’s match against MK Dons.
This raises more questions than it answers in regards to Adomah’s future situation, but it remains clear that there is significant unrest and a divide between the player and manager.
However, the club stand firm in their desire to keep the winger in their long-term plans -Adomah had been a fan-favourite at the Riverside, but it is unclear whether that will be the case for the rest of the season.
The winger was also subject to loan speculation as rumours flew in regards to a short term move with another Championship club. However, Middlesbrough aren’t keen on a loan move and want the 6ft 1 winger to remain with the club for the time being.
Whether or not the club’s stance on the matter will change when the January transfer window opens is unclear. But if the winger is unhappy at the club, he could be playing elsewhere at some point this season.
