Middlesbrough are interested in signing Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki in the summer, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The 30-year-old was linked with a move to the Riverside back in the January transfer window, but a deal failed to materialise, and he continued to be a key player for the Tigers.

The Polish international has been in fine form for Nigel Adkins' men this season, scoring nine goals and producing 12 assists for the team and playing an influential role in their turnaround in the Championship.

But, Grosicki is entering the final year of his contract at the KCOM Stadium which has put clubs on standby, with Nottingham Forest reportedly interested in signing the tricky wide-man.

Now though, it is claimed that Boro are still interested in the player this summer, despite the Teesside club currently not having a manager.

The north east club will be looking to go one step further in their quest for Premier League football next season, after missing out on a play-off spot this season.

The Verdict

I think Grosicki is exactly the type of player that Boro should be targeting this summer, as he is a sort of player that they miss in their squad.

He may be 30, but he is still quite fast and can take on a man with ease, and clearly has end product when you look at his statistics from this season.

He could be available at a cut-price, and would be a very good signing for Boro who are desperate for some more creativity and flair in the team.
