Middlesbrough are targeting former Arsenal goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook, according to the Sun of Sunday.
The 20 year old is currently at League Two side Bury and is being tracked by a number Championships sides including Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich Town. Premier League Crystal Palace are also rumoured to be chasing the former Gunner.
Charles-Cook has reportedly turned down a new contract offer at Gigg Lane and his agent has revealed the 20 year old is ”exploring his options’.
Despite Boro’ signing Real Madrid goalkeeper Tomas Mejias recently after a short loan spell at the Riverside last season, they are fully committed to luring Charles-Cook to Middlesbrough.
Charles-Cook’s representative Lee Payne said ”Reice decided to move on from Bury. He had a good time there, and will always be grateful to David Flitcroft (Bury Manager) for giving him his Football League debut and for offering him a new contract, but he wants to explore other options.”
