Championship sides Middlesbrough and QPR are interested in signing Championship Player of the Year Patrick Bamford on loan, according to the Sun.
The Chelsea striker has had two loan spells in the Championship with Boro and Derby County, scoring 27 goals in the process. After winning Championship player of the year last year with Boro, he was sent out on loan to top flight Crystal Palace.
However, Alan Pardew had a fairly wide breadth of selection when it came to strikers, meaning Bamford was given little chance to impress and cut his loan spell at the club short this week, off his own accord.
This has sparked interest in a number of sides, including Queens Park Rangers and Middlesbrough.
Boro have been linked with Bamford throughout the season as his frustration grew, with manager Aitor Karanka failing to rule out a move for the youngster.
QPR are looking to add a little spark back into a fairly poor season for themselves, and signing Bamford would be quite a steal and a sure fire way of reigniting their campaign.
