Middlesrbough manager Tony Pulis has revealed that forward Martin Braithwaite is now keen to remain with the club.

Reported by the Hartlepool Mail, Pulis has confirmed Braithwaite is keen to 'get his head down and play football' after a summer of speculation and trying to force a late summer window move away from Teeside.

However, Pulis revealed Braithwaite's attitude appears to have changed, saying:

"Martin wants to get his head down now and just stay with the club, he doesn’t want to contemplate doing anything in the window, he just wants to have a full season playing football and enjoying his football.

“That was Martin’s words, you can quote me on that one, that he wanted to ‘get his head down now and stay at this football club for the season’, he didn’t want speculation in the January window of him moving."

Pulis's words will be good news for Boro fans, who have seen their team get off to an excellent start to the season in the Championship, with Braithwaite contributing to that with three goals off the bench since breaking back into first team plans.

Boro travel to Norwich City today as they look to continue their excellent form, and Braithwaite will be hoping to continue his fine form.
