Middlesbrough look set to make a move for ADO Den Haag winger Sheraldo Becker this summer as the club look to rebuild following the departure of Tony Pulis.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a fine campaign with the Dutch club, notching seven goals and contributing ten assists in what has been a fine campaign for the former Ajax man, with the Mirror now claiming the Riverside club are interested in his signature.

Becker, who predominantly plays down the right hand side for Den Haag, has been impressing onlooking coaching staff and scouts with his all action displays and goal count, and he will no doubt be tempted by any move to England which might be on offer for him.

Middlesbrough have a big job ahead of them this summer following a disappointing campaign which saw them miss out on the top six as Pulis' defensive style of football began to grate on the Boro supporters as the season drew on.

New signings such as Becker will no doubt be targeted by the club despite no manager being in place as yet, with the club keen to change the ethos of the club and employ a more direct attacking style of play.

Becker would add pace, goals and a more youthful look to the ranks for Boro as they look to clear out the dead wood and bring in new faces ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

The Verdict

This is the sort of signing that would make lots of sense for Boro, and he has been more than impressive in the last 12 months.

Becker has plenty about him and could no doubt light up the Championship given the chance.
