Middlesbrough have not had the best time of things so far this season with them failing to find the results that their squad's talent should be getting.

The men from the Riverside Stadium were certainly aggressive in the summer window as they signed a number of top players and brought in Garry Monk as the man to take them back to the Premier League.

Inconsistency has plagued them, though, and they need to sort that out before they can seriously think about getting back into the top six at least.

For sure, then, we could be set for a busy January transfer window with Garry Monk probably wanting to improve his squad but it could actually be more exits than arrivals at the Riverside in January.

In a video with Gazette Live, Boro journalists Philip Tallentire and Dominic Shaw have covered a number of potential moves for Boro with the video as below:

During the clip they discuss Boro's need for a new winger though they'd also say that Boro should consider an offer for Adama Traore if it comes in.

They also feel as though Chelsea could bring Lewis Baker back from the club to end his loan deal whilst other loans could see the likes of Lewis Wing exit the club.

The general consensus for incomings, meanwhile, was that Boro would have to spend decent money, and it remains to be seen if Steve Gibson would want to do that.
