Garry Monk and Middlesbrough could be one of a host of clubs set to miss out on Liverpool midfielder Sheyi Ojo, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The impressive young winger is a target for a whole host of clubs in both the Championship and the Premier League, but it is believed Jurgen Klopp wants Ojo to report for training in pre season, giving the German manager a chance to take an in depth look at the 20-year-old.

Ojo was in impressive form for England during the under-20 World Cup earlier this month, and enjoyed a successful loan spell at Wolves last season which enhanced his stock further.

He made sporadic appearances for the Anfield club upon his return to the club, including some impressive performances in the FA Cup.

Ojo is one of the most highly regarded talents at Liverpool at the moment, and will be hoping to impress over the summer and force his way into the squad before the big kick off in August.

Middlesbrough are looking to make new signings following Garry Monk's appointment as manager, and a setback in terms of signing Ojo could well derail some of Monk's plans as he looks to get the North East club back in the Premier League at the first attempt.

Boro fans, what do you think? Would you like to see Ojo? Let us know!
