Middlesbrough manager Tony Pulis is looking to sign former winger Adam Traore as he looks to strengthen the ranks at the Riverside.

The speedy winger only left in the summer to join Premier League Wolves, but according to the Hartlepool Mail via the Mirror, Pulis is investigating the possibility of making a move for his former player.

According to the report, Wolves are thought to be open to allowing Traore to move if they can seal a signing of their own in January, and with Boro struggling to put a decent run of results together, Pulis is thought to be keen on bringing the former Barcelona man back to the club.

Traore would bring an element of speed and trickery to the wide areas for Boro if they were to bring him back, and he is someone who could get the Riverside crowd back on their feet after a number of disappointing showings.

22-year-old Traore has been in and out of the Wolves XI this season as manager Nuno Santo seems settled on his best side, meaning Traore might well be interested in making a temporary switch back into a league he excelled in last term.

The Verdict

This signing would be a brilliant one and certainly would have the fans' backing, but whether Traore would be bothered about a move is another thing entirely.

Wolves are doing well, and he surely won't want to call time on his Premier League stint after less than a year.

He has talent, and can succeed in the top flight, and I think he might well stay put for at least the rest of the campaign.
