Hartlepool United have extended the loan period of Adam Jackson from Middlesbrough until the new year, the Pools have confirmed.
Talks between his parent club Middlesbrough and Hartlepool had been ongoing and yesterday the deal was completed, seeing the player stay until January the 2nd.
This will help out over the busy festive period, and his final game being the away fixture against Newport County.
The 21-year-old central defender has made five appearances for Pools since joining in November, he was previously on loan at League One side Coventry and has yet to make a first team appearance for Middlesbrough.
Hartlepool manager Ronnie Moore was pleased to retain the services of Jackson: “Adam has done well since he came to the club so we’re pleased to keep him”, Moore told club website.
Hartlepool United currently sit in 20th place in Sky Bet League Two, having amassed 20 points from 19 league games.
