Bolton midfielder Mark Davies is a target for Championship league leaders Middlesbrough, in a cut price deal, according to Burnden Aces

Davies

The Teessiders will be hoping that the current financial crisis at Bolton will yield a January bargain.

Mark Davies joined from Wolves in a £1 million move back in January 2009, the 27 year old midfielder has scored 16 year goals in his seven years at the club.

Middlesbrough are thought to be considering a £500,000 bid for the player, who back in 2014 was subject to a four million pound bid from Swansea.

Injuries have limited his first team appearances to 182 in seven years but so far this season he has been one of Bolton’s bright lights in an other wise dire season.

There is thought to be interest from other championship clubs as well such as Burnley and QPR, as they circle hoping to raid the destitute bottom club.

Davies is naturally a central midfielder but can also play in attacking midfield and on the right.
