Middlesbrough central defender Ben Gibson has had a fine season for the Championship promotion hopefuls and talk has already begun regarding his future, with Gazette Live reporting that Premier League clubs are weighing-up moves for the highly-rated performer.

It is reported that Everton, West Ham and Leicester are all keen on signing the centre-half and should Boro fail to win promotion a move could realistically be on the cards this summer.

Gibson is an academy graduate at the Riverside Stadium and given his potential he is likely to fetch a reasonable sum of money, should his current club choose to cash in on their prized asset in the summer.

The 25-year-old is an ever-present in the Boro team this season and his departure would undoubtedly leave boss Tony Pulis with a big void to fill at the heart of his back four.

It remains to be seen whether or not the player would welcome a move away from the club himself, although it now seems unlikely that Gibson will still be at the Riverside Stadium should Boro fail to win promotion back to the Premier League.
