Middlesbrough, Bristol City and Huddersfield are all keeping tabs on AFC Wimbledon's Nesta Guinness-Walker ahead of the transfer deadline.

The left-back has starred for the Dons since breaking into the team two years ago, impressing with his attacking ability and willingness to get forward.

Such form has caught the eye, with the Daily Mail claiming that the three Championship clubs are ready to offer the player a chance to play at a higher level.

Crucially, the 21-year-old has entered the final year of his contract with the League One outfit, therefore the update states that the three clubs feel Guinness-Walker could be available for a bargain price in the next few weeks.

The youngster, who came through the ranks at Chelsea and Tottenham as a kid, featured in 31 games for AFC Wimbledon last season and he was named in the starting XI as the team picked up an opening day win at Doncaster Rovers over the weekend.

There is just under three weeks left for clubs to do the business they want in the window.

The verdict

This would be a smart bit of business for Boro, Huddersfield or Bristol City as they could all do with another option at left-back and in Guinness-Walker they would be getting a player with huge potential.

His performances in League One have shown that he has quality and whilst there are aspects of his game that need to improve, he has the ability to get even better.

So, to pick him up for a decent price, which will be the case because of his contract situation, means this would be a good addition for any of the Championship teams.
