Middlesbrough and Fulham chasing move for impressive League One forward

Middlesbrough and Fulham are both eyeing a move for Bolton’s Zach Clough, according to the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old is a striker who can also play in the attacking midfield ranks and he was one of the shining lights in a very dim campaign for Bolton last season.

He has struck 12 goals in 36 league outings for the Trotters and has stood out in an underperforming side.

However, Clough was left out of Bolton’s opening game of the season due to a slight hamstring injury.

Bolton’s boss Phil Parkinson will be desperate to keep Clough at the club, but knows that he might be forced to sell with interest from Premier League newcomers Middlesbrough and Championship Fulham.

Fulham are in the market for a new striker after losing key forwards Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele to Aston Villa and Celtic respectively.

Middlesbrough, on the other hand, are looking to add to their striker ranks to give competition to Alvaro Negredo and Jordan Rhodes.

Bolton fans – what do you think? What price tag would you put on Clough? How much of a boost would it be if you kept him?

Fulham fans – would Clough be a good signing?
