Middlesbrough, Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic are interested in signing Stoke City forward Lee Gregory, according to the Daily Mail.
The 31-year-old has endured a turbulent time at the bet365 Stadium this season, since arriving on a free transfer from Millwall in the summer.
The striker has scored four goals in all competitions, making 23 appearances in the Championship with 19 of those coming from the off.
Since the appointment of Michael O’Neill, Sam Vokes and Tyrese Campbell have become the Northern Irishman’s preferred options in the final third.
But now, fresh reports from the Daily Mail claim that Middlesbrough, Birmingham and Wigan are interested in signing Gregory before the transfer window closes in 11 days.
Can you get 13 out of 13 on this Stoke quiz?
It is claimed that Gregory could be allowed to leave Stoke on loan before the end of the month, although whether he leaves on a permanent basis also remains to be seen.
Things just haven’t really worked out for Gregory since joining Stoke in the summer.
His performances have been there and his work-rate up top hasn’t gone unnoticed by the Stoke faithful, but goals are what strikers are judged on.
I think Gregory could be a great signing for Birmingham in particular, as they are lacking that proven forward alongside Lukas Jutkiewicz up top.
They could form a fantastic partnership together, and to sign him on loan could be a shrewd piece of business.
