Ilias Chair's brace helped QPR get back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory against Birmingham City last night and the playmaker's performance has proven a talking point among fans of the west London club.

The R's came welcomed Birmingham to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium last night looking to end a run of three Championship defeats on the bounce but started slowly against Lee Bowyer's side.

It was the hosts that took the lead just after the half-hour mark, however, as Chair's shot took a slight deflection and flew past Matija Sarkic into the back of the net.

The Blues continued to threaten but they were unable to stop Chair bagging a second after 64 minutes as the 23-year-old raced through on goal before slotting the ball calmly into the corner.

The Moroccan's second was enough to confirm all three points for Mark Warburton's side and put an end to their losing run, while he has now taken his tally to three goals and four assists for the season.

There's no denying that the attacking midfielder was the R's matchwinner last night – a fact that was clearly not lost on many supporters of the west London club.
