Ipswich Town have been dealt a fresh injury blow this morning, with Cole Skuse set for three months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
Skuse, 34, is one of the seasoned professionals in Lambert’s squad at Portman Road. He’s made 274 appearances for Ipswich since signing from Bristol City and has been on the books since July 2013.
This season, he’s yet to feature and it looks like his playing time in 2020 is over.
Quiz: Do Norwich City and Ipswich Town have these 10 things in common?
Lambert has confirmed – as per the club’s official media – that Skuse is facing three months out with a knee injury. It’s been described as a fluke injury.
Ipswich have enjoyed a positive start to the season and have 10 points on the board from the opening four fixtures. That’s set them up nicely to push on for a promotion push, but injuries are starting to pinch.
Here, we dive into the reaction of the fans, with many worried by a building injury list…

How many of our injuries are strain / overuse and how many are contact injuries. Seems to be a lot of both.
