Leeds United look set to miss out on yet another target, according to reports.

According to Tom Barclay of The Sun, Brentford winger Florian Jozefzoon is set to move to Derby County after a £2.75m transfer fee was agreed between the two clubs.

Jozefzoon is now heading to Pride Park, where he will undergo a medical ahead of his move to Derby.

This is a blow for Leeds, who reportedly matched Derby's offer in a bid to convince the Dutchman to move to Elland Road instead.

Jozefzoon joined Brentford in January 2017 and the former PSV Eindhoven winger scored seven goals and provided seven assists for team-mates last season to help the Bees mount a promotion challenge.

However, with just one year remaining on his contract, Brentford have decided to cash in and have already signed Said Benrahma as his replacement.

Derby look set to beat Leeds to the signing of the 27-year-old, despite already adding attacking midfielders Harry Wilson and Mason Mount on loan from Liverpool and Chelsea respectively earlier in the week.

The Verdict

This is yet another frustrating blow for Leeds in the transfer market and they seem to miss out on target after target.

Bielsa must be scratching his head and wondering who he can sign for the Whites.

But this is an excellent capture for Derby as the player is entering his prime and is a proven threat from the wings in this division.
