West Brom winger Nacer Chadli has reportedly flown out to Monaco for a medical with a view to a £10.7m move, according to reports from France.

Birmingham Live have verified the claims, with the Belgian World Cup star set to bring to an end a transfer saga that has dragged one throughout the summer.

The move is set to net the Baggies €12m which equates to £10.7m, a huge chunk of the £13m they paid Spurs for his services in 2016.

Chadli has not been a success at the Hawthorns, making just 29 Premier League starts for the club, scoring six goals. He hasn't featured for Darren Moore's side this season and a departure has been inevitable most of the summer.

The 29-year old made his name with FC Twente, before joining Spurs in 2013.

He scored 25 times in 119 appearances for them before his switch to the Baggies.

He impressed for Belgium in this summer's World Cup, scoring the goal of the tournament to help his country to a 3-2 win against Japan in the last 16.

The Verdict

Finally! There's nobody at West Brom who won't be happy to see this go through, least of all the accountant who will be delighted to recoup such a huge chunk of his initial fee.

Chadli is a good player, but he never really settled in England and won't be missed at the Hawthorns. They can now concentrate on the future with a war chest that will be very useful in January.
