Crystal Palace appear to have won the race to sign Swansea attacker Jordan Ayew with the player set for a medical at the club today.
Palace go into the season, so far, with Wilfried Zaha still at the club and that, of course, is a massive boost.
With Christian Benteke continuing to frustrate, though, they need other options going forwards and it looks as though the 26-year-old Ayew is on his way to South London – as per David Ornstein:
Crystal Palace have finalised deal to sign Swansea forward Jordan Ayew on season-long loan, medical today. Takes Loftus-Cheek role but also option up front. No more #CPFC arrivals expected but exits are with offers on table for likes of Puncheon & Riedewald (not going to #Swans)

The deal is set to be a season-long loan – subject to a medical – and there should be no obvious reason why he will not pass that without issue later today.
But, with it being a loan deal, there isn’t a need to get this one done by the deadline as loan deals can still be completed for the rest of the month.
Swansea are losing another key player here and that is a blow for them.
Ayew is a capable Premier League performer, though, and so he should bring plenty of energy and quality to the Eagles’ side.
It remains to be seen, meanwhile, if the Swans try to find an adequate replacement.
