Gabriel Agbonlahor, Micah Richards and Ross McCormack are all set to depart Aston Villa in the summer, whether the club get promoted or not - according to the Telegraph.

Agobonlahor will be leaving after a 17-year stay at Villa Park, after becoming the club's record Premier League scorer.

It simply has not worked out for both Micah Richards and Ross McCormack in the Midlands, and it is no real surprise to see them be offloaded in the summer.

Steve Bruce is in the midst of a battle for promotion to the Premier League, with the club currently sitting in fourth place after a strong season.

Bruce will definitely have one eye on the summer to determine which players replace exiting stars, and we at Football League World have identified three perfect replacements for the trio stated above.

Villa fans... What do you think of the three replacements we have selected? Let us know below!

A perfect Ross McCormack replacement would be Dwight Gayle.

The Newcastle striker has found first-team action hard to come by at times this season, and a switch to Villa Park would make sense.

Gayle knows how to score in the Championship and the Premier League, and it makes sense for Bruce to weigh up a swoop for him.

An ideal Micah Richards replacement would be John Egan of Brentford.

The Republic of Ireland international is a player that still has time on his side, and his impressive displays at the heart of the Bees defence have caught the eye.

Certainly worth weighing up a move for.

Another striker that should be on the transfer wish-list to replace Gabby Agobonlahor is Tammy Abraham.

The Chelsea forward has not enjoyed the best of spells at Swansea City this season, but he seriously proved his worth at Bristol City last season.

He'd be a wise signing on loan from the Blues if it could be facilitated.
