A new era is upon Queens Park Rangers after owner Tony Fernandes decided to roll the dice and switch things up at Loftus Road.

Fernandes parted ways with Ian Holloway, who had guided QPR to a lower mid-table finish this term, and he has instead brought in experienced man Steve McClaren.

The hope is that McClaren will bring success to QPR and have them competing at the top end of the Championship, rather than floating around mid-table all season.

McClaren will be eyeing new signings already.

The former Middlesbrough, England, Derby, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle manager has so many contacts in the game and will be hoping to use these to snap up the best players available.

Here are four players QPR should be looking to complete early deals for in the summer transfer window and possibly even bring in by next week.

The Northern Ireland international knows McClaren well and could be set for a reunion at QPR.

The 32-year-old is experienced at this level and while he is not necessarily prolific, the forward offers endless running, work ethic and dedication.

QPR need a striker to fire them up the league table and taking a punt on Boyce could be a gamble which pays off.

The 27-year-old, who is also a Northern Ireland international, was the top scorer for Ross County last season and Burton may have stayed up had he been fit all year.

Maddison is one of the most exciting talents in League One and Peterborough United have transfer listed him to let his career flourish in a higher division.

With 10 goals and 21 assists for Posh last season, the 24-year-old is likely to be in high demand so QPR need to act quickly to snap him up.

Another attacking midfield option QPR could look at is Oztumer, who is likely to reject fresh terms at Walsall in order to challenge himself at a higher level.

The 26-year-old has 16 goals and eight assists next year and it is time that the "Turkish Messi" was given his chance in the Championship.
