Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy has revealed that Freddie Veseli’s loan move to Port Vale marks the end of his time at Portman Road.
The 21-year-old has yet to make a single league appearance for the Tractor Boys since joining them at the start of last season.
He spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Sky Bet League Two side Bury, and completed another temporary switch to Vale on Tuesday.
While McCarthy admitted it was time for the defender to move on, he wished him all the best in the future.
He said: “That’s the end of his time at Town.
“It was the end of his time at the end of last season if someone had taken him, I’d made him available.
“Micky Adams wants him. I think we’ve done him a turn letting him go there. Let’s hope he goes there and, who knows, somebody else might want him and he might be able to progress somewhere else, and let’s hope he can because he’s a lovely young fella.”
