Doncaster Rovers manager Grant McCann has given a fitness update ahead of his side's League One play-off semi-final second leg against Charlton Athletic this Friday, reports Leon Wobschall of the Yorkshire Post.

The headline from the pre-match press conference is that Donny's dangerous Leeds United loanee Malik Wilks will be ready to line-up at the Valley as they look to overturn a 2-1 first leg result.

McCann also confirmed that there are no fresh injury concerns to contend with meaning they head to London with a fully-fit squad.

Two quick fire goals in the first-half at the Keepmoat on Sunday from Lyle Taylor and Joe Aribo put Lee Bowyer's Addicks in firm control of the tie.

Doncaster heaped the pressure on their League One rivals in the second-half but could not find a way through until the 87th minute when Matty Blair narrowed the deficit.

The verdict

Despite that late Blair goal, this will still be a very big challenge for Rovers and McCann to overcome.

Stranger things have happened, and Doncaster have already shown this season that they can be a match for Lee Bowyers side but with them in the form they are at the moment I cannot see anything other than Charlton extending their lead.

However, get an early goal and the home side could get very nervey.
