The Whites last league outing saw Monk’s side overturn title-chasing Brighton and Hove Albion, where Chris Wood scored his 23rd and 24th Championship goals of the season to hand Leeds a 2-0 victory.

Wood’s form has been key to Leeds’ success this season, with the New Zealand international scoring 24 of the Whites’ 52 league goals this term.

The 25-year old has been away with the New Zealand national team this week, and was again amongst the goals, scoring in a 2-0 victory over Fiji at the weekend.

However, late in the game Wood picked up an injury following a heavy challenge, which has resulted in him returning to Leeds earlier than expected.

Monk’s side face Play-Off rivals Reading on Saturday evening, with Wood now a doubt for the game.
