Queens Park Rangers have had a poor start to the season in the Championship and manager Steve McClaren has his work cut out if he is to turn the R's season around.

Recruitment seems key at Loftus Road and a player McClaren could turn to is veteran Stoke striker Peter Crouch, who recently admitted he'd 'love' a return to QPR.

But would the signing of the former England man be good for QPR?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

I think so.

They'd have to work out the finances of any such deal but a move there would surely be a good one.

He might be getting on but he still has quality to offer and the likes of Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells would enjoy working off of him.

Gary Hutchinson

No, they’ve just got Hemed and Wells, why would they need a Crouch?

I can see it though, it is the sort of move McClaren would be all over.

Crouch is a great ambassador for the game, but surely his time is up isn’t it?

He’s been around since the dawn of time.

Jay Taylor

Maybe six or seven years ago, but I don’t think it would be now.

And I find it a little strange that he would mention a move back to Loftus Road when currently on the books at Stoke City, where he is playing fairly regularly.

In terms of experience, it would be a good signing but as mentioned before, footballing wise, yeah, but half a dozen years ago.

I see it as a sentimental send off for a player who has had a relatively successful career in the English game.
