Nottingham Forest moved back up to fourth in the Championship table on Wednesday night, after defeating Bristol City by a goal to nil at the City Ground.

After beating Huddersfield Town 3-1 at the weekend, Sabri Lamouchi would have been urging his side to record back-to-back wins in their hunt for a top-six finish.

That was to be the game's only goal, and Forest were to have an extra man advantage for the second game in a row, too, when Ashley Williams was sent off for lashing out at Yuri Ribeiro.

It was certainly a battle for Forest on Wednesday night, and they had to put their bodies on the line to secure all three points - literally.

Ryan Yates was left bleeding from his face after taking a whack in the area, whilst Matty Cash has a black eye and several cuts after an aerial collision.

Cash has sent a message to Forest fans after quite a nasty-looking collision, with the full-back reassuring fans that he is "okay" after the clash.

The Verdict

It was a tough night's work for Forest, and they had to work hard for the three points for sure.
