Leeds United take on Sheffield United this weekend, in what will be one of Leeds' toughest tests of the season without a shadow of a doubt.

The Whites come into this one in a good run of form after sweeping Reading aside with ease at the Madejski Stadium.

Mateusz Klich opened the scoring in the win over the Royals with an expertly-placed finish and he'll be keen to build on that with a positive performance against Chris Wilder's side on Saturday.

The midfielder has been full of praise for one of his Leeds team-mates heading into this one though.

In a pre-match press conference ahead of the game (quotes sourced from Phil Hay), Klich admitted that he thinks that Pablo Hernandez is one of the best players in the Championship.

“I think Pablo is our best player. He's probably one of the best in the league."

The statistics don't lie with Klich's comments, and they only strengthen his latest claim.

Hernandez has ten goals and 11 assists to his name this season, and without him, Leeds would surely not be in as strong as a position than they currently are.

The Spaniard netted a stunning brace against Reading in midweek and will come into Leeds' game with Sheffield United full of confidence after such an impressive season so far.

A win for Leeds and it would surely be difficult to see them suffering any slip up's as they close in on a long-awaited return to the Premier League.

The Verdict:

He's spot on.

Hernandez has been Leeds' player of the season in my opinion and without his contribution, the Whites wouldn't be in contention to win promotion to the Premier League.

He's a crucial player to Marcelo Bielsa's side this season.
