Leeds United will be hoping they can pick up where they left off when they return to action in the Championship.

The Whites had won their last five league games, which had seen Marcelo Bielsa's side move to the top of the second tier standings with just nine league games remaining in this year's campaign.

More importantly, Leeds are seven points clear of third-placed Fulham in the Championship table, and promotion looks as though it's theirs to lose.

One player that has been key to their strong performances this season is Mateusz Klich, who has made 39 appearances in all competitions for the Yorkshire-based side this term.

The Polish international has five goals and four assists to his name this term, and has established himself as a firm fans favourite at Leeds.

Klich recently took to his Instagram story to reveal that a UPS driver had fun delivering his Nike parcel on Monday, as he added Klich's famous chant onto the end of his delivery label, which is likely to go down well with the Elland Road faithful.

Due to recent events, Leeds aren't due back into competitive action until the 2nd May, when they're set to take on Charlton Athletic at Elland Road, although that scheduled return date could be pushed further back if the off-the-field crisis is to worsen.

The Verdict:

Leeds supporters will be hoping to see him back scoring goals when they return to competitive action.

It's a frustrating time to be a Leeds fan, as they're were building some real momentum before the season was called to an abrupt halt due to off-the-field events.

The health of the nation is more important though, and I have no doubt in my mind that Leeds will pick up where they left off when fixtures do get back underway.

Klich has been a key member of Marcelo Bielsa's squad this term, and I expect him to be capable of making the step up to the Premier League if Leeds are to reach the promised land in the coming months.
