Mateusz Klich has stated that he thinks the Championship is a three-horse race between his own Leeds side, West Brom and Fulham.

The Whites have had a brilliant start to this campaign and currently sit top of the table with West Brom yet to play so far this weekend.

All three sides have a large amount of quality for this division, and it hasn't been a surprise to anyone to see them all competing for the automatic promotion places in the Championship.

There's still a long way to go in the season yet, but Klich believes that it is a three-horse race at the top of the table and has praised West Brom as the best team in the league.

Speaking to Leeds Live about whether the promotion race will be between the division's current top three, Klich said: “Yes, it looks like Fulham are playing very good football. They got [Aleksandar] Mitrovic with 15 goals.

“West Brom, in my opinion, best team in the league and we are always there and we are trying to play our football."

The Verdict

It is certainly looking like the three teams mentioned will all be competing at the top end of the season for the foreseeable future.

Leeds have started very well and it looks like any worry of a play-off hangover has completely gone and they are hitting form at the right time ahead of a busy Christmas schedule. Fulham are starting to pick up some excellent results, whilst West Brom have been consistent in all areas of their game in the current campaign.

Klich must keep focused and can't take anything for granted as he hopes to be part of a Leeds side that achieves their ambition and makes their way to the Premier League
