Mateusz Bogusz made his first start for the Leeds United senior side in their 2nd round Carabao Cup defeat to Stoke City.

It's the 18-year-old's first full season with the Whites after signing from Polish club Ruch Chórzow in January 2019.

Bogusz was named on the bench for Leeds' play-off semi-finals against Derby but failed to make an appearance in either game.

The Polish attacking midfielder took to Instagram to express his excitement after making his debut for the club.

He put up a photo, with the caption 'First match' with an eye emoji (below).

The post showed a number of different photos which have pictured some of Bogusz' key moments during their clash with Stoke City on Tuesday night.

The midfielder has played for many different Polish age groups, most recently the under-20s side. However, last week he was named in the under-21s side ahead of the September international fixtures against Latvia and Estonia.

Bogusz is a skilful midfielder who is known for his technical ability and he'll be hoping that Marcelo Bielsa can give him more opportunities over the course of the season.
