The Saddlers have been one of the stand-out teams in League One so far this season, and that is largely down to the goal scoring exploits of Tom Bradshaw and Romaine Sawyers, who have scored 13 goals between them already this campaign.

Walsall have only lost two games this season and Dean Smith will be hoping that his young side will be able to make a genuine push for promotion.

The only injury doubt for the League One side is former Aston Villa midfielder Isaiah Osbourne, who has a knee injury and will be assessed before the tie.

Much has been said about Chelsea's poor start to the season, and with the controversy surrounding Eva Carneiro continuing as she left her position yesterday, Jose Mourinho will want his side to do their talking on the pitch.

The champions have won two games in a row now after recording victories over Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Arsenal and Mourinho will be expecting his side to progress to the fourth round of the Capital One Cup.

The Chelsea manager confirmed that he will make changes to his side for the clash, with recently exiled captain John Terry and summer signing Radamel Falcao both starting the match.

One big disappointment for Chelsea fans is that Diego Costa starts a three-match ban which he received after his antics in the game against Arsenal. Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Brazilian playmaker Willian both miss out through injury.
